Is there a shortcut method of resizing pasted or placed documents than having to manually fit the currently open document?

Indeed there is.

Open Photoshop, go Edit > Preferences > General and tick the Resize Image during Paste/Place option.

With this feature enabled you don't have to manually free transform or resize pasted or placed images Photoshop will do the 'fitting' for you.


How do I enable the Use Adobe dialog option in Photoshop?

To enable the Use Adobe dialog commonly found in lower left of the Open, Open As, Open As Smart Object, Save, Save As or Place dialogs you have to have Version Cue enabled.

To enable Version Cue, go Edit > Preferences > File Handling and tick to enable Version Cue. Close the Preferences dialog, restart Photoshop and the Use Adobe dialog command option should now be available.


How do I remove a single image from a Stack group in Adobe Bridge CS3?

1. First click and hold for a second onto the stack group # to the upper right and they will expand.
2. Click/Activate a single image within the stack/group. 
3. Then drag/drop that image OUTSIDE the stack bounding area to remove it.

To rearrange the order within a stack/group simply drag and drop an image to a different position in the current stacking order. 


How can I easily rate and label images in Slideshow mode in Adobe Bridge?

Press the Numbers (keys) 1 to 5 to Rate them on that scale. Doing so the Stars Label will appear for the viewable image.
Press the Numbers (keys) 6 to 9 to add a Color Code to them.
Press 0 (key) to strip Ratings/Color Code.
Press the Left/Right Arrow keys to Navigate to the next image if you have no transistions set.
Press the Comma (,)/Period (.) key to Increase/Decrease ratings incrementally


How can I quickly access the Brush Palette without resorting to the Brush Well or the Options Bar?

Fortunately, there is one option.

With any of the painting tools active (Brush Tool (B) for example), right + click (Mac: Press the Control Key) and the Brush Preset Manager will appear directly at that point of your click (or key press).


Is it possible to import a Microsoft Word document into Photoshop as a Text Layer?

No - at least not directly.

However a simple copy from your Word document and paste into a Photoshop Text (Paragraph) Layer should suffice. Bear in mind it will not retain style or table attributes if any exists in your Word document source.


When I access the Window/Brushes menu command, the dynamic brush options appeared dimmed. Why is this?

To activate the dynamic brush features ensure that any of the following Brush (Paint) Tools is active from the Toolbar.

Brush Tool / Pencil Tool (B), Clone Stamp Tool / Pattern Stamp Tool (S), History Brush Tool / Art History Brush (Y), Eraser Tool (E), Blur Tool / Sharpen Tool / Smudge Tool (R), Dodge / Burn / Sponge (O) Tools


Is there a quick way to bring back hidden menu items without resetting them?

Yes, go to any menu command item that you know has a hidden menu item(s) set and click the last item in the menu list entitled 'Show All Menu Items'.

If you're not sure which items you have set to hidden, go back to the Edit/Menus dialog and for each hidden menu item, enable it and set a Color, then disable it again. Apply a color to each hidden one close the Keyboard Shortcuts and Menus dialog and repeat the above 'Show All Menu Items' command.


How can I correct file associations when opening graphic files in Adobe Bridge?

If you find graphic files and multimedia files are opening in other applications and not Bridge as you would them to, do the following:

A. Open Adobe Bridge
B. Go Edit/Preferences
C. Then to the File Associations menu command and adjust those files you want Adobe Bridge to be the default viewing application.


Is there a way to create a specific size Paragraph or Text Area?

Yes there is!
With the Type Tool active, hold the Alt (Mac:Command) key, then click in your document and you will be prompted with a 'Paragraph Text Size' dialog for your preferred width and height integers.
